Drag Racing

Who doesn’t love the thrill of drag racing? 10 seconds of pure adrenalin where nothing else matters. We didn’t take long to make the decision to have a crack at this sport.

After checking out a 1971 Ford Capri online, we made a decision that this was the machine we would enter the world of drag racing with. Through the night the drive was made to Sydney hands were shaken and some coin changed hands and she was ours!

Upon arrival at Jimmy’s Chop Shop we immediately pulled out the 302 Windsor she arrived with and in with a 393 Stroker (well after a few skids around the joint) in preparation for Darren Cardiff to tick of another first. Keep an eye out for Darren later this year as he tests both man and machine on the quarter mile.

Now with the 393 squeezed in and the new Gazzard rear end to help put the power down she is almost ready to roll

STREET SPRINTS

It only took one visit to the Historical Leyburn Sprints and we were hooked! This gave us a new project. Build a very cool old school street sprints car. We got our hands on a genuine HQ GTS 4 Door Monoaro and with the assistance of JMC Performance we turned her into a race car that is a whole lot of fun. We had Lea McCarroll on interior, Toowoomba Steering and Suspension on the ride, Bartons Auto Electrical on the Electrics, JMC Performance on the 350 powerplant, James Scott on paint and Darren Cardiff doing the steering. Kep an eye out for it Folks you wont Miss this big tyre frying Yellow Girl
